Katie Hemming is an attorney at Weik, Nitsche & Dougherty practicing in the areas of personal injury, workers’ compensation and medical malpractice. Katie is a native Delawarian. She graduated from St. Elizabeth's High School in Wilmington, Delaware. She attended the University of Delaware where she received her bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. Katie worked full-time while she attended Widener University School of Law at night. Katie worked as a paralegal in the areas of personal injury, criminal and bankruptcy law for 9 years prior to becoming a lawyer.
Prior to joining Weik, Nitsche & Dougherty, Katie worked for a regional personal injury firm representing injured clients. Additionally, Katie previously worked at national and regional defense law firms where she represented insurance companies. As a result, Katie is aware of how insurance companies attempt to diminish the value of injury claims and can effectively advise her clients to achieve the appropriate compensation for their injuries.
Katie is a member of the Delaware Bar and the Federal District Court for the District of Delaware. She is also admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Delaware State Bar Association Women and Law Section, the Randy J.
